What has been filmed around your home town?

Well, whatever movie Hugh Jackman is doing right now, they just filmed part of it in an old railroad depot (diner) 5 miles north of me here in Southern Mich.

They filmed the low-budget sci-fi flick 'attack of the mutant killer mosquitos' here also

We have a lot of movies filmed in LA; these are the ones within a few miles.

In The Heat of the Night, the movie down the river from me...the TV series in down town Hammond
Live and Let Die...all up and down the bayous around here
Hurry Sundown
Nevada Smith...in the swamps near here, my dad saw Steve McQueen many times during the filming
Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte

Some movie, don't know the name shows the Tickfaw River as a plane flies down towards the lake, you can see our camp on the river. Once the plane reaches the lake, it crashes then the water becomes crystal clear as the plane sinks. (That scene is so strange). The rest of the movie around the area somewhere, I'll think of it sooner or later, one of the Baldwin brothers was the star.
