...please ;D.

Another piece dug from the old site of an early to mid 1800s town. I know it's a lantern piece but I cannot make out the wording on the adjuster. I have tried from every angle to read the lettering but just can't make it out. For some crazy reason, I'm hoping someone here can i.d. this piece. From what little I can read, I know it's NOT a Deitz. I will try and get some higher magnification shots up tomorrow. Any help, as always, is greatly appreciated... 8)

Dang--I can't help ya. Toothpick those wick turners and they'll be more easily read. My button cleaning post in the cleaning section of the forum has more details.

I'm thinking that it's only an internal part of the assembly that we would have normally seen, so may be hard to identify. It's missing all the outside sheilds that it was attached to.
