He must have dropped it going in the house and then they laid the driveway right on top of it. I actually put a couple of nicks in the front of course but you can't really see them unless you tilt it in the sunlight. Made my weekend though. I have pulled more than 20 coins from the same house but only one silver a quarter 1942 all the rest modern clad. 1865-1870 naval officers belt buckle from which his sword hung. Had to dig through 5 inches of packed driveway gravel but glad I did. It was amazing that I didn't tear it up. Didn’t quite post like I planned. Lol

That is an awesome relic! One has to wonder how one would drop that. Looks like a great keeper though!

That's a beauty of a save, congratulations

Congrats on the great find!
Congrats on the great find!

Nice work K, Beautiful save!

Perhaps dropped by a child! They are the best friends we'll ever have!

More likely some kids were playing with it at a later date. It would be almost impossible to have that type of buckle fall off the belt. NICE FIND!!

Awesome!!!! Congrats!!!!

Amazing relic great display piece you earned that one good going. Tommy

Wow - no bending and the hook looks perfect - hard to pull anything out of the ground like that! Congrats! :occasion14:
