Picked this kirk up while working today. It was found in a 7 year old cutover planted with longleaf. It was on a grown up road or skidder trail. It has one nick out of its ear. I finally had the self control not to pounce on it and take a picture. This point would have been very hard to miss.

great in situ and excellent point!

Very nice Al.
Finding artifact while working, priceless...congrats.

Thanks, I find most of my points while working. I work in the woods almost every day and happen to pick one up every once in a while.

Great Point! I bet the boss is always wondering why you are always looking at the ground while working.

Thanks rock. I dont see or work with my supervisor enough for him to notice.

I wish my boss was around less.

Nice point, the stone almost looks like a palmwood. great find:thumbsup:

Thanks, I am no expert but I think it is some form of rhyolite. When you say palm wood do you mean petrified wood.

Nice point! Looks like speckled rhyolite.
