Off the hook crazy!!! As a person who suffered through heavy damage to a second home in Hurricane Charlie, I can say, that for the second home owners it's not the end of the world. Most of the homes on the barrier islands of NJ are vacation homes. Once the shock wears off, it will be down to the business of rebuilding. That will be complicated by the fact that FEMA's aid extends to primary residences only. Still, in the end it's just "stuff" that was lost. Nothing that can't be replaced. Build it bigger, build it better. A way different story than what's going on in NY and on the mainland NJ where many primary residences were lost.
