been going back to a 1800's site that i had last hit 2 years ago and its still turning out some nice relics, i was blown away by the 1851 trime with the New Orleans mint mark, only 720,000 of those produced i believe.
real nice finds. that "flower" button with the oak leaf is really interesting. I have never seen this design either. it looks stunning with the remaining gilt. congrats.
Nice finds! That's the only year they made any 3 cent coins in New Orleans as I recall. I looked that up, hoping that one of us might dig one down here. No luck yet.
