That old mowing stuff can be crazy.
As a side note, I once spied a vintage Lawn-boy mower at an estate auction. I paid $50 for it. When I researched it, it was a '48 or '49 model.
I listed it as a 99 cent auction, and had an amazing number of watchers, and the emails poured in from people wanting to buy it. I even had one buyer stop by my house to look at it in person.
I really thought that the mower would bring $400-$500.
I was pretty disappointed when it only brought $200. I had been counting the Benjamin's before they came in, LOL.
Funny thing about the shipping of the mower: I had a USPS clerk refuse to ship it 'since it held gasoline at one time', which is true, according to postal code. I learned then to never tell them that I was shipping a mower or piece of gas powered equipment!!! I actually waited for her to clock out for the day, and went back to the PO to have another clerk ship it, LOL.
