Neat old mower, never seen one like that.

Does the mower have any collector value?

If so, I wouldn't touch it with paint. It looks like a nice original.

That old mowing stuff can be crazy.

As a side note, I once spied a vintage Lawn-boy mower at an estate auction. I paid $50 for it. When I researched it, it was a '48 or '49 model.

I listed it as a 99 cent auction, and had an amazing number of watchers, and the emails poured in from people wanting to buy it. I even had one buyer stop by my house to look at it in person.

I really thought that the mower would bring $400-$500.

I was pretty disappointed when it only brought $200. I had been counting the Benjamin's before they came in, LOL.

Funny thing about the shipping of the mower: I had a USPS clerk refuse to ship it 'since it held gasoline at one time', which is true, according to postal code. I learned then to never tell them that I was shipping a mower or piece of gas powered equipment!!! I actually waited for her to clock out for the day, and went back to the PO to have another clerk ship it, LOL.

Sunbeam huh, idono how their lawn mowers are but they make really crappy batteries. Usually come free with remotes
