I already have a machine that can go down to 4m, and i am looking for something more in 6 to 7m range with 2m x 2m frame coil. I was thinking of building another Miner4, an old german design from around the year 2000. I built one some 15 yeares ago and sold it later on, so i know the machine performance. Do you think the Equinox 800 would be a better choice?

General purpose metal detectors are calibrated to coin sized objects. They wouldn’t detect a car buried 10 feet deep, just not what they do. If you’re looking to hunt larger individual coins to the 10-11” range the Equinox would and does work just fine.

How big is the target and what metal is it made of? A two box would go down that deep, but, only on a target bigger than a trash can. You actually want to dig deeper than 4 meters? Hope you have a backhoe! :laughing7:
