I wish I could help but my old wore out eyes can't make out much of your button's details. Are the buttons 1 or 2 piece construction? I think the first one is a civilian flower button and I am not sure about the second one. Is that an A or a V on it?

The two piece button with shank was invented about 1835. Most we find are mid 19th century.

Tough to ID until you get the grunge off of them.

What’s the best way to do that without damaging them? I have the ability to do electrolysis, but I’m not sure if that will ruin them.
