need button info

I have a button that was found in Accomack County, VA that I need some info on. If anyone can help, email me at jeric2_us@yahoo.com and I will send an image of it to you. It is about the size of a half dollar and has three old time hatchets on it. It is a two piece button. Thanks for your help.

Here's a pic:

Personally I would say the 3 middle weapons look much more like Halberd heads than hatchets/axes. (Halberds are long pole weapons from 15th - 16th century Europe, there are some pictures here: http://members.aol.com/dargolyt/TheForge/halberb.htm)

The 2 outside weapons appear to be spears.

It doesn't look like any military button I can find online.

I do not have a pic of the back. There is no back mark, but it is a two piece button.

Sounds like an old European firefighters button.
