Need help, BUTTON OR BADGE and AGE ?

I'm in Mass this week for training. I got out digging in a park from middle 1800's,
need help with my find. I don't know if its a button or a badge, 2 crossed rifles on the front and on the back no info, there is a stud not a loop. All help is appreciated.

It is called a collar disc. I'm not sure on age

My guess would be a post WWII Infantry collar device.

infantry riflemans collar disc wore by us service men--- world war 1 thru the early part of world war 2 ---say 1914 ish thru 1942 --time wize roughly
