I would go over to the Whites forum and look up mxt programs.. they have a whole page for programs for there diff machines. Thats all i can say for now. good luck tomorrow i'll be looking for a post.

low disc as high gain as possible without it going nuts, toggle in the middle since he's a beginner, relic hunting stuff can fall anywhere in conductivity thats why i say low disc, very simple yet effective machine, good luck

Select relic mode and disc up at 2-3. Dig repeatable high tones!

Thanks so much guys! I know nothing about the machine and he is way new.. 100% chance of storms. I told him to bring a rain suit ! I need a hunt bad. I have copied and pasted all replies into a text to my phone ! :laughing7: Also a plastic baggie for his machine .

Found one enfield and a eagle coat button but it was from the 6th calvary that trained by Chickamauga. Good area and I enjoy getting the 6th calvary stuff anyways. Button was in great shape.

I would agree with the others, run as low disc as possible, he might pass up on a few of the shorter iron readings if he is digging a lot of nails, but don't pass on the higher readings or larger iron ones. First time I relic hunted I set my disc to basically zilch and dug CW fragments that other folks walked over. I dug a lot that day as a result also.
