Need Help. Good For One Live Nude Girl.

Hey everyone, I could use some token help on this one. It was found in a old park. It is the size of a silver dollar. It is as thick as one also. It has a reeded edge also. It says at the top front Liberty Avenue Showplace. Middle says 537 Liberty Ave Pittsburgh P.A.

I live in Pittsburgh p.a and don't know the place. Nor could I get info on if it used to be a strip joint back in the day.

I'm not gonna explain the rest. You'll be able to see it. It looks to be copper with gold gilt at one time.

This isn't a new type of token. This place gave all coins from the early 1900's and late 1800's. I don't think it is newer than at least the 40's.

Any token experts out there. I would like to know what you all think.

Interesting find, Jeremy! Aqua's Pennsylvania Merchant Tokens book lists this one, but says the address is 637 Liberty Ave. In looking at your photo, I think it is that rather than 537. Unfortunately, Aqua does not give any historical information on the piece, but he does assign it a rarity number, R-1 which is 150+ known.

Hi Jeremy~
I live in the Pgh. area too. I will try to dig up some info when I get a chance and post it. Liberty Ave. was a real "seedy" area for many years and there were tons of those sorts of joints along Lib. A number of years back, they declared the area blighted and ripped a lot of the old buildings down in efforts to revitalize the area and get rid of the reputation. The address on the coin either 537 or 637 Liberty doesn't show up on the Allegheny County tax records so I am guessing one of two things, it's either a mega building with a new address or a parking/vacant lot. We'll see. Anyway, really COOL token! Congrats on that find!

Thanks alot for all the info guys. I thought it was a cool and unique token myself. You can always find the one's that are used today. But to find a really old one like this had me thinking.

It might be a good one for Mark Parker. You are right Idaho. It does say 637. I let it soak in olive oil for a couple weeks. Then took a closer look through a loop and it was a 6.

I found it in a old park woods. It was right ontop of a bluff. I thought from the signal I got it was going to be a silver dollar.

No porno tokens in my pocket. I got a beautiful younge 22 yr old wife Lol.
