Need help ID ing this coin. 1768?

I found thid today and not sure if the date is 1768 or 1868.
It is the size of a penny. TIA

What puzzles me is that it looks like it has stars around the head.

I would have to agree, but look at the difference at the base of the neck, the absence of the necklace and the tail of the headband thats suppose to drop of the neckline. Probably just worn, but the ridge at the base of the neck appears to be a lot higher than the norm. BUT, its the only one it can be.

man!!! i found one of those too ..just yesterday... think it a civil war token... yours is much nicer than mine... thought i had a indian cent too at first...but i can see the stars..just barely though...super cool huh!!!!

Neat find All------I have mine in the tumbler now----I think it will clean up nice.
