Found one at turtle trail couple weeks ago the found one at John brooks years ago after a storm both 1715 fleet sites

Tough to ID a scrap like that. My observations are:
Doesn't look Lead in the picture.
Looks like a silver or zinc alloy that might have been in a fire.

If it’s lead , lead was used and formed in many ways, lead usually hits good on machine. Sinkers and other forms, I look dumb founded figuring things out, whatever you do keep and figure later don’t throw away, here in western Pennsylvania we find hunks of lead at times
