Help identifying the purpose of this neat little eagle! Nearby have found coppers and a GAR medal from 1893, currently the property is a golf course. No rust on the eagle. Is it something cool from the military or something silly from golf? See pictures and ask any questions you think of. There is a little hole in the bottom but no screw threads. The bottom also looks rounded like it sat on a small ball.

it looks like a mid-1900's Nazi military design? There is a great military store with hundreds of uniform insignias, some Nazi, in Carson City, Nevada. I would look the owner up and ask if he can ID this more accurately.
A thought came across my mind and this is pretty close. Did civil war swords of have have eagles?
