Need help identifying yesterdays find. Grotesque door knocker?

Hello and thanks for looking. I hope you are all having a great weekend hunting! My detector arrived Thursday night! yehaaaa! I now have a large collections of coins ... Mostly pennies, lots of old nails and this door knocker. It is 3 inches tall so maybe it is a draw pull? . I cleaned it up a bit. Appears to be brass found in MA.

I am not sure of when it was made ... Looks like something from the grotesque period but I don't think it is that old? And don't know how to tell.

All ideas and help is gratefully welcomed.

I agree it does kind of look like batman ..... Except for the fangs... I am kind of creeped out by it lol ... Not anything that was on my hunting list .:-)

My guess is a pull.. I would think a door knocker would have some kind of striking plate.

Id say pull for a drawer due to the fact it has 2 holes. Still quite cool looking. Go find the rest of the handles.
