Need help identifying

I was going through my iron box last night and found this. Is it a buttplate? If so which rifle? I would have found it at a cw site just not sure which one. I can't believe I overlooked it. Thanks for any help!!

Looks kinda small/rounded to be a rifle button plate. Could it be a badge from a bicycle?

Two holes. One for the hook attachment, and one for the line attachment.

My thought also. Probably a swivel up top and on bottom. One to the main line and one to the hook.
