That type of Buckle dates very early for your side of the pond, provided it's Bronze and not stamped Brass...hard to tell from the pictures, over hear it's called a Double Looped Oval Buckle, and dates Circa 1500 1650...

Yes, I agree about the buckle age, median age 17th century. Nice find. The brass plate with holes and thingies could be part of a very very old clock movement.

todays finds a hollow point bullet ,a part of a pocket watch, a hand made gate hook,and a buckle, anyone know about the buckle?, how old. it is brass.
