Need help-stone with grooves and lines...

This was supposedly found on a Mississippian era site-lots of tools were found.
the stone is somewhat abrasive-the surface is not extremely hard but notice the lines etched on the surface. They go on different directions and so appear to be quite random. I thought it may be glacial but does this look like it may be something used for something? Found in Illinois on private property.

Plow marks? Looks natural to me.
 

Yeah- but The property has never been plowed-pretty much the way it was centuries ago......
 

Where are you from? It could be grooves from being moved by a Glacier.

Hard to say but it could have been used as an abrader for flintknapping arrowheads.
