hey treasure net can u guys help me to idenitfy this ?
I found it in a forrest with some ww2 history at about 3' deep.
it looks like lead but isnt heavy enough.
I think it may be a part of the fuse of an artillery shell.

Really? Dude, you give us 5+ hours to ID a random bit of a relic that is completely out of context. Give it a few days. It will still be the same random bit next week.

Looks to be brass, & is probably military related, but getting an ID on a small part of a small part that was the internal workings of a much larger piece is stretching our abilities somewhat!

I would call it a broken brass flange. Looks maybe like something out of a water pump to me.? Dought it alone will be solved here, but maybe.?? Being the area has ww2 activity keep searching the area. Maybe more evidence will be found that would lead to what that is.

looks like a cover plate that slips on an axle to cover the bearings of a wheel. Or maybe a floor plate that goes under the shifter stick in a jeep or somthing.

It looks like part of a flange, which could fit any number of items.
