Need help to understand how to operate the Equinox 900

Hi there pals: It's been a long time since I have posted I have come back to please ask for aid. Just a couple of days ago I got over mail the 900 and now I face the hard chore to relearn of what was once the 800 witch I sold to my pal years ago. I tried to fumble with the beach 1 slot and used Scots "Mental Meatal" video on the coin program (tone breaks) and now I am troubled because I can't pick up a high pitch on stainless steel rings and fear I am losing gold as well. Did I do wrong on trusting this program especially on beach setting? I am trying to track Scott down so he can tell me if there is a way to rearrange the coin program to include gold and stainless rings on a high pitch like what happens with nickels. Does he post here? If not, what do I do? If someone can aid me, I will gladly include my phone # I have much more control having handed instructions on what are the do's and don'ts before I spoil more the beach settings. I will hope for an answer to this post, if possible, by the end of the day I will go to the beach from Monday thru Friday 7 am to 11:30 thanks so much for the aid given. Since I never did get answer to my post, I thought it would be fair to point out that when I once had the 800 and now, I look at the blue cover book by Andy and was told by a sales rep. at Kellyco that in part this book would be a draw back since the numbers graphic's on the 900 don't coincide. The questions being... (1) Will there be a new book on Andy to clarify this? If so to buy it. (2) Aw heck o.k. Andy are you around in this forum? please come through.

Have tried setting the detectot and going back to the stock programs?

Not sure why no one responded. I have the 800, had it since first came out, I primarily hunt beaches and I use stock programs. Beach 1 out of water and Beach 2 in the water.

There should be bunch of videos on YouTube too.
