Need Help Verifying Bottle Opener With Adolph Coors Name and Dated 1873

Found this item wedged in the cracked asphalt behind the former Rod's Liquior Store, an ancient and now razed, Victorian building.

I am led to beleive its the original prototype signed by Adolph himself...and if so, will donate to the local AA Museum...

Am desperate to confirm and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say the loop on the end definately
is not old.
