Please send a photo of the obverse,maybe with low light from the side for contrast. It would surely help us to ID it.

OK,scotto,I found it. It's an Austrian Kreuzer,minted at Kremnitz (Hungary). In my book it's worth 50 cents in fine condition. I don't think your coin is in fine condition though. The obverse has a two-head eagle on it (the Imperial eagle). Still,isn't anything that old worth two bits? I'd say so!

Might not be worth much but old coins like that are getting rarer every day. Good to hang onto.
I tried to edit the pic to see if it would look better.

I wonder if it may have been carried thru Our Civil War by Immigrant?
