Found this button today on the banks of the South Fork of the Shenandoah River in Va. The markings say Warranted Orange with 3 diamond shaped dots in between the words. Done some research and cannot find any that has just warranted orange, most are warranted rich orange. Just wandering if this is a military button or what. This wasnt a detector find happened to see it while fishing next to someones footprint lucky it didnt get stepped on. Flat Button.webp

Nope not a thing other some corrosion its pretty smooth.

I would think it is a British imported plain flat button from the 1830-40 era.

Thanks for the info. Makes me want to take my detector next time but i would probably drive myself insane with all the trash thats along this section of river.

Very nice congratulations

Nice eyeball find!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Just a once gold plated (hence the quality back-mark), early 1800s civvy button.

Agree with Crusader...civilian about 1800-1830. Formerly gold plated.
