Need help with GoogleEarth

Just opened GoogleEarth & there is a map of the U.S. from 1833 over the U.S.

I have NO idea how it got there & can't find how to get rid of it.

It is an overlay. You should be able to remove it by going to the toolbar....

Went to the sidebar & clicked 0n "primary database" & the overlay went away. Still don't have a clue how it got there in the first place. Clicking on "primary database" doesn't bring it back.
