Some candidates:
C.G.W.................
Campbell Glass Works, West Berkeley, CA (1884-1885)
Clyde Glass Works, Clyde, NY
Cumberland Glass Works/Cumberland Glass Mnfg. Co., Bridgeton, NJ
Camden Glass Works, Camden, NJ (1875-1884)
Chicago Glass Works
maybe even Corning Glass Works.
Just guessing.....

These could be the blocks of glass they used in the 50-60's to make part of a wall so the rooms would be lighter. There use to be a lot of these kinds of window walls (for lack of what it's really called) in Florida when I was growing up there. My guess.

That was my first guess as well, until I saw the ruler. 3 1/4" is a little tiny, also the etching on the block would detract from the effect.

Question for tokenhead: It is solid?

Tokenhead, what's the history behind the piece? If you said how you acquired it, that might help.

Other than the looks, the date of 1959 made me think of paperweight because that was pre-air conditioning(for most businesses & residents). Windows were opened, and paper blew all over the room without a paperweight. That was also back when CEOs had 'real' work papers on their desk, and not just photos of their children, a plant, and a blotter! :laughing7: Breezie
