Need help with prizm III

I have been hunting in an area of houses that are nearly 100 yrs old. I should have turned some silver coins by now but havent. I keep getting the new ones near the surface. I am fairly new to hunting any tips on how to detect the older coins?

are you keeping the loop horisontal to the ground in your swing, use all the gain you can dont discirmanate very little if not at all watch vdi if not shure then disciminate to dubble check.

Be sure to swing the coil as close and level to the surface as is reasonable - don't lift it at the end of the swings. Try detecting in all metal, then toggling into your discrimination to see what the display registers. If you have the patience, stay with the all metal and dig everything. Use as much sensitivity as will let the detector run stable. Overlap your swings and hunt slow and methodically. Try to cover less ground well rather than more ground somewhat quickly. Try to figure where people would be likely to have lost things and hunt those areas thoroughly.
