TokenCatalog.com lists 3 other tokens from this issuer, but not a 55 cent one. That is a odd denomination.

R. & R. CO. INC. / TULARE / CAL (TC-328384) Tulare, California (Tulare County), U.S.A.

R. & R. CO. INC. / TULARE / CAL. (TC-328383) Tulare, California (Tulare County), U.S.A.

R. & R. CO. INC. / TULARE / CAL. (TC-328385) Tulare, California (Tulare County), U.S.A.

How rare it is I don't know, but I would have to guess that its uncommon, which is kinda the norm in tokens. Value largely is just a matter of what you can get, and its very likely there is no catalog price on this coin, or others from that issuer. IdahoTokens may be able to help you out more on that. And I'm sure that TokenCatalog.com would love to have this added to their database along with the pics.

Nice find! As David pointed out, it is a "new" variety, being a 55¢ denomination. Interesting to speculate why the business would have used 10¢, 30¢, 55¢, & 60¢ denominations. My January, 1923 R. G. Dun directory shows R. & R. Co. as "tobacco &c". The other three denominations are listed in Kappen's CA tokens book with a $4.50 value, but that was as of some years ago. Please do post yours on tokencatalog.com or give permission and I can do it.
