Nice !
Keep 'em Coming

cool finds ! gotta love those square nails.

nice early wheat's. Almost got that 09- S. Still a good date to find.

I have a spot like that. I pulled three nice old coppers and a few wheaties but since then nothing but square nails and other iron.
But wheaties are always good and make a hunt good so congrats on your greenie's.

Congratz! I've only been able to find 1 1909 Wheat so far. Keep it up!

Nice Job! Love to hate them square nails. They sound so purdy:BangHead:

Ain't it the truth. Then as soon as the air hits them it's right back to a low grunt.
There's still something cool about pulling 200 year old nails though. I imagine some colonial pioneer type building with them.

Nails were actually a valuable commodity at one time. They were used as currency. That's how the term "penny" came about regarding nail sizes.
People would often straighten them and re use them rather than throw them away.

Gotta' look at it in a positive light sometimes even though they often get our hopes up only to dash them.
