I picked up a heart shaped candy dish from the thrift store. It looks kind of old. I bought it because it says International Silver Co. on the back, and I have heard of them. It also has a number on the back, 648. Can anyone tell me anything about it? I'll try to get a pic up later tonight, but can't now because I lost my cable. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
JJ

Google International silver company, it was a conglomerate of 14 or so different companies that got together in the late 1800's.

Nitric acid will tell you if it's solid silver or plated. Still a nice find :icon_thumright:

Is this your dish? The one on the right? Silverplate more than likely with International Silver Co.
