1st - Looks like some coin damage during handling to me.

Just a 1983 and a spot of corrosion.

Also, it is a zinc penny. If they have been outside in the ground the zinc corrodes under the thin copper coating>

You do mean AppleJack "anti freeze" or Irish coffee type additives, right?
