This piece was found on the beach near the low tide line, just south of Frederick Douglass park. Any idea of age?

looks like a nud flap for a 1989 Suburu Brat...Right Rear!!

Age? LOL, we have to ID it first! It sure would help if you gave some indication of what it is composed of (metal, ceramic, clay, plastic, etc) and also include a ruler or coin or something for a size/scale comparison.
