Need ID Help/ is it a strongbox, old toolbox, something from the railroad?

This was found in Southwestern Kansas.
Its 32 inches long, 19 inches wide, and 22 inches tall.
On the door and door plate there is the number 24 stamped on it.
It has remnants of red, black, and yellow paint.
It weighs roughly 200 pounds.

I would guess that it could come from the RR. 200 pounds is a quite abit to carry elsewere. I would go a long with you on some sort of strong box.
