What part of the country did this come from? Is it obsidian or flint?
I would check that spot out everyday after work and on weekends.

Thank you! This is in the mountains of Western North Carolina and yes I go out every day after work. After finding this I'm hooked! I found a piece today that I believe is a pecking stone. Triangular in shape and fits the palm of my hand. It's much thicker than a point with rounded edges. IMG_20210625_003646385.jpg
