NEED MORE DEPTH W?X-TERRA 305 ANYONE??

Hi out there.
Question about Mine.X-Terra 305 (I know it's kinda low end): how get more depth.
Hunt w/senitivity high, and all metal, because hunt old homestead sites -- dig all -- don't want to miss anything! Seems I get maybe 6" deep. I'd get better but $$ is a temp. setback. Any suggestions.

Make sure your ground balance is set correctly.

Besides setting ground balance you should use the largest coil you can. This however means you'll have more trouble with more items under the coil at once. If you change the sens you need to GB it again.
