Hit my old stand by camp today, been hunting it nearly 20 years. The camp was used from 1808 through 1828, its given up a lot of good finds over the years, but this is a first. The "seal" has an American eagle on it, but the eagle is raised up, not impressed in. The date is also raised up, and is 1823. It is made of lead and is about 1 inch tall by 3/4 inch wide. I first thought that it was made from a button, but the image is raised, any ideas?
