Need some help with a find from the Orchrd

I found this relic a couple of weeks ago and I still have no idea what it is, or part of ? It certainly has some age to it and was found at an early site but any date up tp present time is possible here. The 1899 Indian was found the same day.

Its a Victorian skeleton lock cover plate for a piece of furniture, that has been pried open and the bottom broken off. :wink:

The top "fancy" piece is flat. The bottom, broken part is tubular. It looks like it is broken off of something. I dont think that it could have been attached "flat" more like it may have been a decoration and stood up in the air :dontknow:
