It has either 11 or 13 stars around the border. The eagle is standing on a branch with wings down looking left. Hoping it's a good one and any help would be greatly appreciated

There are 11 stars for the 11 Confederate States. This button is listed as CS 25 A.1. in the Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons by Alphaeus Albert. This desirable and rarely dug button was produced in the South by Casmir Rouyer in New Orleans during the war.
