Hi guy's
I am useless at understanding hall marks :icon_scratch:

I have an old fob chain, and a gold broach I would love some help with.

first one is the chain.

Next is the broach.

If you had to guess, what would you say the stones are?

Thanks in advance for any help with these

Cheers guys..

OK - These are British as you probably know. The Silver Chain has no city identifier, which usually means London and the date letter S is for 1933 I think. The makers code is E.W. - I don't have them in my book.
The gold is 15K assayed in Birmingham. The makers mark I can't make out. There is no date letter but 15K ceased to be a UK standard in the early 20th century, and the style of the decoration looks Art Nouveau influenced, so I would say late 19th/early 20th century. Being Gold I would expect the stones to be Rubies and Diamonds, but no guarantees!

as for the pink stones, these days most would call them "pink sapphires" which are really the same as pink rubies.

I wouldn't mind a look. PM me if you might upset the moderators by posting a link in public.
