found this a couple weeks ago. i was super excited and devastated all at the same time. its 2 3/4 inches long with at least an inch of the tip missing. the base is ground all the way around. it was found in southeastern ohio. the break looks pretty recent. hopefully someday the tip will pop up. any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

With a base that large...it screams Scotti...Well to me anyways..

44!! i think that you have a Kramer [3000 to 2500bp] that was almost exhausted before it was lost. Terry

Gotta agree with Neo. Scottsbluff was my first thought. Nice find. Hope you can find the rest someday.

thanks for the help. i checked out several examples of kramers but nothing seemed to match or resemble. for one, kramers are described as medium in size and this knife would have been huge in its early stages, also the bases on all the kramers i could find were either straight or convex, this base is more concave than anything. im not sure if its a scottsbluff either, although i am thinking early archaic. i was thinking possibly eastern stemmed, but i could only find a few examples. if anyone has a good example i would love to see it. again thanks for the help.
