Need suggestions on locating owner of item if owner is in military

I located something and need to get an address for its owner. I do know he is in the Military, single and where he was last posted.
Any ideas?

Write a letter or email to the dept of the Army, Navy (or whatever branch) explaining why you need to contact that member and what info you have on him. They will get a message to him and ask him to contact you.

google "Army Locator Service" for instructions on how to ship the item. They will forward it - you won't be given his address directly. siegfried schlagrule
