I feel lucky! One of my long-term lady friends (don't get the wrong idea, as we're just platonic), lives in one of the oldest residences in Roswell, NM. It was build about 100 years ago, although with some modernizations along the way. As was the style back then, the front yard is small and has be redone a few times. The back yard, about a full acre, is as built save for many years of use. To the owner's knowledge, it has never been scanned, and mañana (that's tomorrow in Roswell, speak) I get to do so. It may not yield a single coin, but the odds say otherwise. I'll report back what I find. By the way, this house is in the Historic part of the city. If thee are any coin or relics, they'll be old. More mañana.

Well, all I found was an old faucet wheel, an old clasp for a bracelet of some kind, and a 10 Pfennig coin! I looked it up, and it is worth about 15¢. Really not enough to even post a photo. I just wonder where the coin came from?

When I looked up a 1949, 10 Pfennig on line, the average sale price for one in average condition was 12¢. I looked on eBay, and a 1950 was $≈$4. I think buyers need to be careful.

That sounds like a fantastic permission, especially with a full acre that has never been detected. An older property like that should have some interesting history under the surface, even if it’s just a few old coins and household items. An acre of untouched historic yard in Roswell? That's a dream hunt. Could be anything from old coins to relics. The fact that it's never been scanned makes it even better. Good luck. Report back with finds. Silver's probably waiting
