They actually made several BILLION of these per year, with the Board of Revenue Mint in Beijing making 900 million a year alone and the other mints less. If you post the other side of yours I can actually narrow down the mint and the years it was made as the characters have a slightly different shape in various years. All I can say from the front is it's from the earlier years (1736 to the 1760s I think) as one of the characters on the front looks like a Z instead of being deformed.
There are also modern reproductions of these used in kitschy decorative Chinese objects, often tied to a red tassel. I found one recently in a coinstar and I believe it's a repro.
