Detector(s) used
Minelab eTrac, Minelab Equinox 800, Minelab Excalibur II, Whites MXT, Tesoro Tejon
I have been reading about this detector and have been using mine now for about a month and have found all types of clad, pulltabs, bottle caps, lures, rings, etc. but I wanted to know about settings and more so that I can be more efficient when I am hunting.I hunt in salt water, both on the beach and in waist and above deep surf in Charleston, SC.

I really would like to talk with others that have been using this machine in salt water and can help with some advice.

Thanks,

AeroMike

Mike, the settings I use are NO disc. ( having it mask out iron is good enough) Sensitivity sometimes in Auto or anywhere from 11 o'clock to 3 o'clock, Volume as high as possible, Threshold so I can barely hear it. If it makes a sound I scoop it up.

Sensitivity is what throws off most guys as in very shallow water it can sound off on the black sand an saltwater. Don't worry at all about the threshold coming back at a different tone after it nulls on iron, just keep searching and it will still respond correctly on the gold rings.

Good Luck,
Sandman

I run my setting same as sandman, I guess that's because I listened to all the guys, and of course Sandman lol

Thank you Sandman, I will try that.
