Needing some advice please

I’m thinking about getting into the metal detecting, this will be a weekend hobby at first my budget is $750 tops my questions are where to buy and what to look for in a detector, I live in central Arkansas and I will be looking around old house places and old roads ect…. If I can get by cheaper that would be great just not sure what I’ll need thank you for you tome

There are a lot of good entry level and intermediate detectors on the market.
Consider looking at the Nokta line of machines.

And what ever you do ...
Get a set of good quality Headphones - this is very important - knocks out road and surf noise and allows you to hear deeper subtle hits.
Get a good quality Pin Pointer - like a "XP - MI 4" or "Garrett Carrot" - a good Pin Pointer saves you a lot of time and frustration in the field.
Get a good quality Digger - like a "Lesche" - lower quality diggers just don't hold up.
