NEL Coil

I am new to the hobby with just a year under my belt and still learning. I am using a AT Pro and have read some posts where various folks are teaming the AT Pro up with a NEL coil. I am not at all familiar with the NEL coils and are they worth the extra $$$$?. There are a bunch of NEL coils to choose from and if anyone out there uses one which coil has the most success?

On my personal AT Pro, I only use two coils - the 8.5" x 11" and the 5" x 8". A lot of people seem to like the NEL coils, but these seem to be all I need.
