Nevada Ghost Town Gold and Silver!

Went on another fun hunt with my Tnet buddy Conito@55 today. We went to an old ghost town where there really isn't anything standing anymore.
The gold ring was a big shock, never even occurred to me that there would be gold jewelry there! The crown of it is pretty squashed, but 3 of the stones remain.

I'm pretty sure that the cylindrical piece is a blasting cap.
The garter clip is stamped "Boston Garter, Velvet Grip and Pat. 12-13-92".
Interesting openwork button front piece.

Always fun to hunt a new place, and even better when you find something.

You found part of a garter; actually a 'Boston Garter'.
It will read 'Velvet Grip' Pat. 12-18-92 and on the other side: Pat. 12-13-82.

Looks like we tried unsuccessfully to ID the Crown B &L Brand button 17 years ago; though one THer thought B&L might mean Bausch & Lomb.

CROWN BRAND B & L - old button? Can anyone tell me what this might be, and how old? It says "CROWN - B & L - Brand". The piece appears to be possibly brass on top, but another metal (rusted) on the bottom. It is smaller than the diameter of a dime. I dug it up at the old 1804 plantation house...

Another gold and made it into the 1800's with the Barber, NICE!

A shame that dime has a bit of damage. It's a fairly low mintage one. Still worth a few bucks though.
