Welcome to Tnet..webpSorry you are going to try and use the AT Pro at the beach. It will work well in the dry sand but in the wet sand you'll get a lot of falsing. You can turn down senc which will get you a couple inches. Saltwater detectors use more than one freq.

Thank you Sandman for the tip about turning down the senc, I just bought the AT Pro due my actual budget but I´m planning to buy the Excalibur II in a near future.

Your not limited to the Excal as there is also the CZ-21 or CZ-20. Only dif between CZ-20 and 21 being pinpoint button. I prefer the CZ as I can only scoop mid tones which in most cases are gold rings and nickels & pull tabs.

Sandman I guess you're right about the CZ-21, never tried a Fisher before but it has a good reputation so I will think about it.
