Sorry you are going to try and use the AT Pro at the beach. It will work well in the dry sand but in the wet sand you'll get a lot of falsing. You can turn down senc which will get you a couple inches. Saltwater detectors use more than one freq.

Thank you Sandman for the tip about turning down the senc, I just bought the AT Pro due my actual budget but I´m planning to buy the Excalibur II in a near future.

Thank you Sandman for the tip about turning down the senc, I just bought the AT Pro due my actual budget but I´m planning to buy the Excalibur II in a near future.

Your not limited to the Excal as there is also the CZ-21 or CZ-20. Only dif between CZ-20 and 21 being pinpoint button. I prefer the CZ as I can only scoop mid tones which in most cases are gold rings and nickels & pull tabs.

Sandman I guess you're right about the CZ-21, never tried a Fisher before but it has a good reputation so I will think about it.
